ROSELYN KAY, MSOD, CSC
Roselyn Kay, President of New Heights Group LLC provides executive coaching and consulting to clients seeking to enhance their vision, identify dynamic strategies, build leadership capacity, develop teams, energize organization change, and initiate organizational redesign. She uses positive strength-based processes including Appreciative Inquiry that help organizations and individuals discover who they are at their best, recall what they value, and take bold action to improve their performance and the performance of their staff.
In her coaching and consulting, Roselyn draws upon her strong business acumen, advanced study of human behavior, and deep understanding of the challenges and complexities that leaders face. She has helped senior leaders to discover their strengths and use them to enhance their leadership proficiency, build relationships, improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, make difficult and effective decisions, and improve overall performance. She has taught senior and mid-level leaders and managers in both public and private sectors on coaching, communication skills (including asking powerful questions, feedback, and building trust) and appreciative inquiry. In addition, she has done team coaching using the MBTI and FIRO-B leadership report where the focus was on how type and behavior impact the leader and those they lead.
Roselyn has consulted with clients on strategic planning, leadership development, and team development. In 2005, she received an ASTD Research to Practice Citation for her work on a strategic planning project with Points of Light/Volunteer Center National Network.
Roselyn designed Leadership and Change: an Appreciative Inquiry program, Innovation and Change: an Appreciative Inquiry foundations program, and co-facilitated an Advanced AI Clinic in DC. She has written articles and presented at conferences on the topics of strategic planning, inquiry, coaching, trust, and appreciative inquiry.
She brings over 25 years of leading, training, and mentoring, coaching individuals (staff and senior leadership), teams, and groups in Banking and Finance to her work as coach and consultant. Throughout her financial career, she held senior leadership positions and lead her teams and organizations to higher levels of performance. Roselyn founded New Heights Group, a collaborative consulting and coaching organization. She is an Associate of Innovation Partners International.
Over the past 5 years, she has consulted with and coached clients from HUD, National Cooperative Bank, Cenlar, NASA.Goddard Space Flight Center and NASA, Headquarters , Funds for Learning, LLC, Returnside, LLC, American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), Fannie Mae, Squire, Lemkin and O'Brien, Blackboard, and Celera Genomics.
Roselyn holds a Master in Organization Development (MSOD) from American University/NTL. She received certificates in both Organization Development and Leadership Coaching (ICF approved) from Georgetown University. She is a Certified Somatic Coach (CSC) with the Strozzi Institute and certified to deliver the AMSP through Apter International, Inc. Roselyn is highly proficient at administering and interpreting the MBTI and FIRO-B Leadership assessments to individuals and teams. In addition, she is certified to use the EI Assessment tool.
